So I got
bored and decided to write something in my Xanga because I have not written in
it in a long time. I decided to write something again because I was a little
bored, and I started reading a lot of other blogs (mostly sports blogs) that
inspired me to write a little something too. “If anyone can do it, so can I” is
my mentality. However, this will be the last one in Xanga though. I have used
Xanga since my junior year in high school, so it has been with me a while, but I
think it’s time to go somewhere else. If I continue to write more, it’ll be
with a different blog site, such as Blogspot or Wordpress. Xanga became popular
because it was a fad; at one time ALL my friends had Xangas. But like all fads,
it must die out.
Work starts
tomorrow. Maybe I can make my blog into a diary of the exciting things at work.
Who knows, maybe it’ll become famous and get picked up by some producers and
turn into a TV show like The Office. I don’t think my office is like The Office
though, but that’s a good thing. In any case, writing a new blog will update
people on my life, whether they want to know about it or not. I realized that’s
one of the purposes of Xanga, even though I didn’t know it at the time. Even if
people never saw me that often, if they read my Xanga they’d know what’s up in
my life and could feel connected to me in a way. Ever since I stopped writing
in it that has gone away. You may argue that Facebook makes up for it, but
unless you update your status often (which I don’t) then you can’t really tell
what people are up to day-to-day by looking at their Facebook. I sure as hell
can’t. So since school is out (forever for me) and I can’t rely on running into
people on Grounds and catching up there, maybe this will be a good way to keep
connected.
So we’ll see
what happens with me and future blogging. But for now, I say goodbye to Xanga.
It’s been a good six years, I sure have grown up a lot since my early posts.
Goodbye, Xanga.
